Innovative Gallagher Access Control With Advanced Features

Gallagher access control is a state-of-the-art security program regulating building access and mitigating risk. It ensures that staff is correctly screened and allowed to enter while highlighting any expiring health and safety certificates or licenses.

Designed for flexibility, Gallagher access control is easily integrated with other security sub-systems through our single integration platform, Command Centre. This helps streamline operations and reduces the need for manual processes.

Security from the curb to the core

Access control helps organizations manage workforce compliance and safety. It enables them to monitor the time cardholders spend in designated areas and ensure that shift and exposure times are adhered to. In addition, it allows for alcohol and drug testing to be conducted within the workplace.

The system comprises hardware and software, with readers granting access and communicating with controllers making real-time access decisions. The system is designed with security in mind and can be integrated with several other products to deliver a comprehensive and cohesive solution.

Our Gallagher access control provides a complete security solution for a small site, with unparalleled access and alarm management capabilities. It includes 4 Gallagher readers and mobile credentials, a Permaconn controller with wireless capability, and a powerful Command Centre platform fully scalable to suit any site or organization. Communication between the Command Centre and the controllers uses up to 256-bit AES encryption, providing industry-leading data protection.

Exceptional user-friendliness

Gallagher access control is designed to be intuitive, ensuring all users can operate the system. The user interfaces are logically linked, and the graphical screen layouts are designed to meet international standards. User privileges are controlled by system division, so a single operator can only view content or carry out functions that are authorized for them.

A graphical LCD message and prompts to assist with operations. Context-sensitive function keys enable users to perform actions they are privileged to do, such as arm (set) or disarm (unset) alarm zones and onsite monitoring of fence zone voltages and inputs.

The Intercom HLI enables digital intercom systems to be integrated into the Gallagher access control using the Command Centre graphical user interface. This integration allows the security system to act as the source of truth and send events to and receive from third-party systems like video, duress, building management, or fire alarm systems.

Exceptional security

Gallagher access control can screen for a wide range of credentials, including health and safety certifications, licenses, and more. These checks can be quickly undertaken as part of the scan-in process. They will notify users if any credentials are due to expire, making it simple for commercial sites to ensure optimum health and safety standards are being upheld.

A key security feature of Gallagher access control is that authentication and validation functions are baked in rather than performed by external devices. This reduces complexity, points of failure, and initial installation costs.

The new C7000 controller is 10 times faster and has 8 times more RAM than its predecessor. It also has Secure Edge Lock booting to protect against tampering and hacking and dual operating systems for added protection.

Exceptional management

Gallagher is a manufacturer, hardware designer, and software developer whose holistic approach to product development leads to compelling functionality. Matheson explains that many development projects are on the drawing board, including analytics at the edge—new APIs direct to the controller, giving very high levels of authentication very quickly regardless of whether the authentication is a camera, biometric, mobile device, or credential.

On the end user side, the Gallagher access control offers a pared-back interface that’s easy for site managers who don’t have to wade through a visual jigsaw puzzle. When things go wrong, the system alerts them directly, so there is no need to visit a workstation or shuffle up to a remote keypad. The C7000 single-door controller also features distributed intelligence and storage, allowing access control and alarm management to continue during server or comms failure, with onboard memory buffering events for automatic upload when communications are restored.
